Future of Heyfield
The Heyfield Community Resource Centre is proudly overseeing phase two of the Future of Heyfield program, following the work started by the Wellington Shire Council.
Our focus is to support the rollout of the opportunities identified by the Innovation Working Groups for the growing future and economic stability of our town.
The Future of Heyfield project is supported by the Victorian Government under the Forestry Transition Program.

Innovation Working Groups
The Resource Centre is currently responsible for three Innovation Working Groups (IWG’s) within the Future of Heyfield Project
Active Ageing
Focused on supporting ageing community members to keep active, encourage social interactions, and maintain independence.
Agriculture
Driving innovation and sustainability in local farming by supporting training, technology adoption, and industry collaboration to strengthen our agricultural community for the future.
Tourism
Engaging the local community and beyond to embark on adventure in our beautiful and diverse region and support ongoing growth and economic stability for our future.
